Quick and Easy BBQ Ribs

Now this isn't what I'd call your traditional BBQ Rib recipe, but it's a pretty quick recipe if you don't want to wait around for your fire to get going or if you're not that handy with a wood or gas grill/smoker. Plus, you can use all your Kitchen Gadgets to make it! Don't blame me if your Southern friends beat you up when they find out you didn't make these on a grill/smoker!

  • 1 Double rack of Ribs
  • 1 Jar BBQ sauce of your choice

How to cook the ribs: (Start this in the morning)

  • Fill large p0t or pan halfway with water and bring to boil
  • Pull membrane off of ribs and place in water and boil for 20 minutes (the ribs, not the membrane!)
  • Pull ribs out and dump about half the water
  • Put rack in pan and then ribs on top of rack - the ribs should be just above the water line.
  • Cover with aluminum foil
  • Put in oven at 225 (convection)
  • Wait 2 hours then brush on first layer of BBQ sauce onto ribs
  • In about 2 hours brush on the second layer of BBQ sauce and remove the aluminum foil
  • Wait 2 more hours and brush on 3rd layer - add water if it is needed
  • Crank oven up to 255 (convection)
  • Once you can pull a rib off easily, they're done. Remove from the oven, cover with foil and let set 30 minutes to an hour

Serve with BBQ sauce on the side if some want it
